Our Tennessee Practice

Padgett's Tennessee practice operates out of the firm's fully-staffed Memphis, TN location. As a non-judicial state, our Tennessee team is focused on complex litigation and title curative efforts. PLG has been a market mover in Tennessee since 2016, when the firm built an organic practice in the state through key hires and talent acquisition. PLG is GSE-approved for Tennessee work and offers comprehensive default services throughout the state, including foreclosure, evictions, title, title curative, complex litigation, bankruptcy, and real estate-owned (REO).

Market Nuances

Padgett’s Tennessee practitioners are highly experienced in the state’s non-judicial foreclosure process, which enables lenders to foreclose without court involvement when all statutory requirements are properly satisfied. This streamlined approach provides a fast and cost-effective path to recovery. When foreclosures are contested, Padgett’s Tennessee team is fully equipped to manage litigation and navigate the complexities of the local court system, including jurisdictional variations and related bankruptcy proceedings.

While foreclosures in Tennessee are primarily non-judicial, there may be circumstances that dictate foreclosure through judicial means, such as in the Show Me case. Padgett’s team is also well-versed in handling judicial foreclosures in state or federal court to obtain marketable title from foreclosure and recoup on client assets via the judicial process in what may generally be a non-judicial state.

With deep knowledge of Tennessee foreclosure law and a strong track record across the state’s diverse jurisdictions, Padgett is uniquely positioned to deliver strategic, efficient, and results-oriented representation. Whether handling high-volume portfolios, defending contested foreclosures, or managing bankruptcy-related matters, our team is committed to protecting your interests at every stage of the process, statewide.
