Our Georgia Practice

Padgett's Georgia practice operates out of the firm's fully staffed Atlanta, GA office, located in the metro area's financial services hub of Buckhead. The Buckhead office is equipped and staffed to locally handle and process all Georgia default work and as the marquee office location, is home to the firm's C-Suite group. PLG has been a market mover in Georgia since local creditors' rights law firm, Topping & Associates transitioned into Padgett in 2015. Padgett offers comprehensive default services throughout the state, including foreclosure, evictions, title, title curative, litigation, bankruptcy, and REO.

Market Nuances

Padgett’s Georgia practitioners are well-versed in the state’s non-judicial foreclosure process, which allows lenders to foreclose without court intervention when statutory requirements are properly met. This process offers a swift and cost-effective means of recovery, unless the foreclosure is contested. In such instances, Padgett’s Georgia team is fully prepared to defend against challenges and skillfully navigate the state’s legal system, including jurisdictional intricacies and related bankruptcy matters.

While foreclosures in Georgia are primarily non-judicial, there may be circumstances that dictate foreclosure through judicial means, such as in the Show Me case. Padgett’s team is also well-versed in handling judicial foreclosures in state or federal court to obtain marketable title from foreclosure and recoup on client assets via the judicial process in what may generally be a non-judicial state.

Padgett is uniquely positioned to provide efficient, strategic, and results-driven representation throughout Georgia. Whether managing high-volume portfolios, resolving contested foreclosures, or addressing bankruptcy-related issues, our team is dedicated to protecting your interests at every stage of the process, statewide.
