Our Mississippi Practice

Padgett's Mississippi practice operates out of the firm's fully-operational Jackson, MS location. PLG expanded its presence in the Alabama and Mississippi markets in early 2023 under the leadership of Rebekah P. Beal, Esq., who has led multi-state legal, compliance, and full-service creditors' rights legal practices in the area for over a decade. The firm's local team is powered by the full operational, financial, and technological resources of PLG. The firm offers comprehensive default services throughout the state, including foreclosure, evictions, title, title curative, litigation, bankruptcy, replevin and REO.

Market Nuances

Padgett’s Mississippi practitioners are well-versed in the state’s non-judicial foreclosure process, which allows lenders to foreclose without court involvement when statutory requirements are properly met. This method offers a fast and cost-effective means of recovering collateral, provided the foreclosure is not contested. When challenges arise, Padgett’s Mississippi team is fully equipped to defend contested foreclosures and adeptly navigate the state’s legal system, including jurisdictional nuances and related bankruptcy proceedings.

While foreclosures in Mississippi are primarily non-judicial, there may be circumstances that dictate foreclosure through judicial means, such as in the Show Me case. Padgett’s team is also well-versed in handling judicial foreclosures in state or federal court to obtain marketable title from foreclosure and recoup on client assets via the judicial process in what may generally be a non-judicial state.

Padgett is uniquely positioned to deliver efficient, strategic, and results-driven representation across the state of Mississippi. Whether managing high-volume portfolios, addressing contested foreclosures, or handling bankruptcy-related matters, our team is committed to protecting your interests at every stage of the process, statewide.
