EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION
Give the gift of recognition this year by nominating one of your outstanding peers for a 2024 PLG Employee Award.
Tell us who is the Swiss Army Knife of your team, that person who can do anything; or who is your Problem Solver, the individual that solves every issue with ease; or do you have a new employee or new-to-you-team member who is a stand-out Rookie of the Year; or maybe you get to work with someone who has the most Padgett Passion in the entire firm - someone who lives, breathes, and shares our culture every day. Then, think carefully about the new Paul Harris Leadership Legacy Award and make a thoughtful nomination of an individual whom you believe exemplifies the traits of our dearly missed colleague, Paul Harris. If you didn't know him, learn about him below and share a nomination of an employee who you believe carries on his legacy. To submit more than one nomination, hit submit and then come back here to access the link again and nominate another team member. Please note that the firm's 2023 winners will not be eligible to win again until the 2025 award program.
PAUL HARRIS LEADERSHIP LEGACY AWARD
CONGRATULATIONS TO 2023 RECIPIENT GRACE KANE, SUPERVISOR, BANKRUPTCY
This leadership award, given in honor of Paul Harris, a deeply loved and missed employee of PLG, is awarded annually to an outstanding team member who exhibits PLG's core values and leads with compassion, by example, and with grace. Paul Harris was a leader in the firm's Bankruptcy Department and those who had the pleasure of working with Paul remember well his style of compassionate, hands-on, and collaborative leadership.
"Paul was a builder. He would break down the need, build the process, and motivate our people to move the files. Losing Paul didn't just impact everyone who worked with him and loved him, but for those of us who can still see the fruits of his labor in PLG today, we miss everything he brought to our organization and our lives," says Evan Singer, VP of Enterprise.
It is the firm's great honor to remember Paul and keep his memory alive with the Leadership Legacy Award. Employees are encouraged to nominate a colleague who exhibits Paul's style of leadership and whom you believe is deserving of this recognition.

Here's a sample of our gratitude kick-off earlier this month. Thank you for participating and we hope you enjoy your holiday meal with friends, family, and all your loved ones.
This year, we kicked-off the holidays early with a gift of gratitude campaign the first week of November. Employees who shared their gratitude with a colleague were rewarded with a firm-provided $40 coupon for a turkey or ham for their holiday dinner. Review a sample of the notes of gratitude that were shared across the firm.
I truly am grateful to work in an environment where I feel valued and seen. I always feel empowerment and support from our interactions. Thank you for being such a wonderful leader and inspiring me to achieve my best all while boosting my confidence. I just wanted to take a moment to let you all know how much having each of you on the team means to me. From consistently meeting timelines and keeping our scorecards in top shape to always being dependable and ready to pitch in when needed – you make all the difference. Your dedication and support keep our team strong, and I’m incredibly grateful to each of you. I know I don’t say it nearly enough, but please know how much I value each of you and all that you do. |
I want to thank you for all your help. Even before working together, I was grateful for your help in Inquiries on anything that might have been related to something I filed. And then whenever our colleague out, how you would keep things steady for me and the team and not allow things to run amok. You kept everything moving smoothly. And now having worked together, I appreciate you even more. You offered me the greatest assistance when I needed it most with not the best instructions in the world 😊. So THANK YOU!!! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Hi!! I just wanted to say thank you so much for offering to help me, the worklist is insane and I truly do appreciate you always making a point to reach out and check on me since I have a hard time asking for help haha. You are the best and much appreciated!! Thank you!! |
Grateful for both of you AND that we are all here again. We all deserve our PTO, but I don’t like it when you guys are gone! I am truly grateful to Rosa for all the encouragement she has given me over the time we have spent together on the Texas team. She has been so welcoming and encouraging. I am grateful she is always there when I need to ask a question or seek advice from. She is such an amazing mentor I am truly lucky I get to work with her every day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise with me! You were instrumental in assisting me with the replevin project. You are always open, responsive and patient to questions. |

These important details require your attention and preparation in order to make things Merry & Bright for all employees. Note: please remember that employee participation is not mandatory! All offices are asked to start your office decorating on December 1st, should your office choose to do so. With so many remote and hybrid employees now, please remember:
- Employees not participating in the firm Holiday Celebration must remain at their desk during normal working hours.
- Alcohol of any kind is not permitted.
- All offices and facilities must be cleaned and returned to normal working conditions at the conclusion of festivities.
Celebration Hours: 12:00PM – 2:00PM
In addition to organizing a holiday potluck, each office is encouraged to coordinate their own activities such as ugly sweater contests, Secret Santa gift-giving, or other team-building activities.
