Planning Your Office Holiday Celebration

The following details outline the 2019 PLG Office Holiday Celebration guidelines. The following details require your attention and preparation in order to make things Merry & Bright for all employees. Note: please remember that employee participation is not mandatory! All offices are asked to start your office decorating on December 1st!

NEW THIS YEAR: Each office will be having their Holiday Celebration at a local, interactive venue near the PLG office in place of the past years' luncheon format. Please look at the new Holiday Celebration as  a team-building opportunity for your office.  
  • Attendance is required to participate in gift receipt
  • Employees not participating in the firm Christmas Celebration must remain at the office during normal working hours.
  • Alcohol of any kind is not permitted.

During Your Office Holiday Celebration 

Celebration Hours: 11:30 am – 2:00 pm
  1. Award the Best “Ugly Christmas Sweater” winner to one (1) employee
  2. Award Target gift card $50 per office
    1. Gift Card will be provided for the winner – no need for you to purchase.
  3. Conduct the Firm Gift Rraffle
    1. Distribute raffle tickets to employees at the luncheon by Tenure
    2. Luncheon Attendance is required to participate
    3. Draw winning raffle ticket(s)
    4. Award Firm Gifts to the winning employee
    5. Two gifts per office: Prize One of $150 and Grand Prize of $500

Once the luncheon is over, everyone is free for the rest of the day to enjoy themselves shopping or just a day of pampering! Note: Office parties are structured across multiple weeks to allow other offices to cover for your office for the remaining hours of the day the day of your luncheon.

Please Note: Remove all décor by end of day 12/28 2018. Save all decorations and store the items in a container (on-site) for next year’s Christmas décor. Dispose of live Christmas tree according to building requirements.

Conducting Your Office Raffle and Ticket Distribution

Blank, branded raffle tickets will arrive in your offices beginning the first week of December. Employees must be present at the holiday celebration to participate in the raffle. Distribute tickets as follows to each employee attending the celebration:

Attorneys: 1 Raffle Ticket
Managers and Supervisors: 3 Raffle Tickets 
Non-Supervisory/Non-Attorney Staff: 6 Raffle Tickets 
Bonus Tickets for Non-Supervisory/Non-Attorney Staff:
3 bonus tickets for 2+ years of PLG service
6 bonus tickets for 5+ years of PLG service 
Upon ticket distribution, employees should write their names on each of the raffle tickets they are provided. Tickets should be folded and placed into the drawing. Each office will draw for two prizes: one general prize of $150 and a grand prize of $500.
